Apologies for the late send. Substack just introduced “verifications” and disabled publishing until they vetted me. This newsletter has now been blessed.
When an employee leaves...
It can cost you 3-6 months of salary to replace them!
Here's what you do to prevent that 👇
LEAD. LIKE. YOUR. BUSINESS. DEPENDS. ON. IT.
We're in a moment where this has never been more needed.
People are switching jobs at a pace we've never seen before.
So much is written about customer churn yet heading off employee churn should be a massive priority as well.
Be the proactive leader your employees need.
Talk to your team to understand their challenges (life and work)
Review salaries so they are competitive
If not competitive, make a plan to fix that fast and share it
Incentivize your critical 20% with lucrative & achievable bonuses
Provide competitive benefits
Allow people to work *around* life events (be flexible)
Embrace remote work as a permanent reality
Remember, losing people is more expensive and disruptive than taking care of the team that has helped build your business.
Take care of them...
And they will take care of you and your business too.
