Hi there,
I recently read an article on why scaling by “delegation” isn’t good enough and couldn’t agree more.
The author, Jason Cohen, posits that delegation is often viewed as a way to offload work that you don’t feel is critical for you to perform. Freeing you up to work on what may be more urgent for your particular skill set.

Yet this results in a group of people doing work only as well as you defined it. It does not position you for long-term success.
Instead, you should be looking beyond simple delegation to team building.
Essentially, finding others that can perform the work better than you could and that are well-positioned to improve your business as a result.

What this requires is you getting comfortable with the fact that others will bring skills that outmatch your own.
Ego check. You’ll need to grow as well.
Your role will evolve and so must you.
Now, you’ll need to inspire and motivate these new team members.
Are you up to the challenge?
